Hello Z’ers,

For those who wish to keep tabs on what I’ve been working on, here is a journal thread that logs my activities over the past week. I’m aiming to keep these updates informative yet unobtrusive to my workflow so that I can be consistent with them. I hope you’ll find this useful.

08/01/2024

• Working on a fix for the profiles comments notification bug to where a user clicks on their profile comment notification it isn’t taking them to the newly posted comment.
• Made a quick round of friend list optimization as part of the longer-term upgrade, addressing the extremely inefficient old code.
• Cleared Cache to make things faster.

08/06/2024

• Need to bug fix the Zenkai Live Streaming System/Engine – it appears that the engine has ran into a bug and will need some decoding.
• Began development for the Dress-Up Avatar System for the website w/ @mundanepixel 4 hours has been made towards the project today.
• Updated the front page with current up-to-date statistics.
• Working on cleaning up the “Add a Poll” to a topic feature as there appears to be some CSS styling issues with the modal itself.

I will keep this thread updated with more progress reports. Stay tuned!

There’s been tons of changes since August and when I first posted this thread. I’ll try to keep this thread more active with changes… 🤭

• About Us Page Revamp: I took the time to completely fix and change the layout of the About Us page. The new design feels more inviting and reflects our brand’s identity better.
• Meet the Team/Staff Page Cleanup: I also cleaned up the Meet the Team/Staff page. It’s now organized and showcases our incredible team members more effectively.
• New Pop-Up Login/Registration Form: Implemented a new pop-up form for login and registration. This should streamline the user experience and make it easier for newcomers to join our community.
• Server Upgrade: Upgraded the server to enhance performance and ensure our site can handle increased traffic without lag.
• Increased Disk Usage Space: I increased our disk usage space, which should contribute to faster load times across the site. Every second counts when it comes to user satisfaction!
• Website Backup: Lastly, I made sure to back up the entire website. It’s always a good idea to have a safety net in place.

Overall, I feel accomplished with the updates made today. Looking forward to seeing how these changes improve our site’s performance and user engagement!

There’s been tons of changes since last time I posted here and when I first posted this thread. I’ll try to keep this thread more active with changes… Also been diagnosed with some health problems so sorry been super busy in real life and online with work.

• Terms of Service Page: I took the time to totally recompile and re-write our Terms of Service page including new rules and new things added for the new systems and features that have been recently released and the start of a new year.
• Avatar System Released: We’ve released the avatar system initially on January 9th 2025. We’ve been adding things here and there to it the best we can and with the resources provided to us. w/ @mundanepixel & @Astronautilu5x
• Added a “Get Naked” button to the Avatar Dress Up Page: Users will be able to click a simple button to unequipped all their item (S). W/ @mundanepixel
• Added a New Navigation: We’ve added a new navigation menu with links to Activity, Avatar, Ranks, Credits, Shops, Marketplace, Trading and Pets and more.
• Removed: Old Activity , Avatar and ZTV buttons in top header.
• Added Forum Signatures: Users can now add Forum Signatures by going to the cogwheel > profile info > scroll till you see “Signature”.
• Continued work on the avatar system: Updated the ui, added an exit confirmation, added the get naked button, and started work on transferring data from the file system to the database. w/@mundanepixel
