Terms of Service & Community Guidelines

Welcome to Zenkai Online. By accessing or using this website, games, avatar systems, Zenkai World, ZTV, forums, and all related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service, our Community Guidelines, and all related policies referenced on this page.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use Zenkai Online or its related services.

About Zenkai Online & Acceptance of Terms

Zenkai Online, operated by Zenkai Interactive Studios, LLC, is a social platform where you can create avatars, play minigames, explore Zenkai World, watch and host livestreams through ZTV, and participate in forums and community events with other users (“Z’ers”).

You may create a Zenkai Online account only if you are at least 13 years old. The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf when applicable law requires it.

You must provide accurate age information and complete any age-assurance step Zenkai reasonably requires.
Creating an account, affirmatively accepting these Terms, or continuing after a required re-acceptance means you agree to the current policy version.
A visitor warning popup does not establish account or mature-content eligibility.
Mature content is hidden by default and is never available to users under 18.
Zenkai may restrict an account or mature-content access when a user cannot establish the applicable eligibility, supplies false age information, or attempts to bypass an age check.
If you do not agree, you should not use the Service.

Age Requirements & Mature Content

Every Zenkai account is subject to the 13+ eligibility requirement. General account eligibility is separate from eligibility for mature content. Depending on location, account history, requested feature, or legal requirements, Zenkai may require additional age assurance before enabling a designated adult area.

An eligibility result is separate from a moderation ban or strike. A failed, incomplete, or disputed age check may place the account on hold or into manual review.

Some avatars, forum posts, artwork, or roleplay content on Zenkai Online may be disturbing, intense, or offensive for some users. This can include depictions of extreme violence, gore, graphic injury, or sexual content.

All such content must be contained in access-controlled areas that are clearly labeled as “Adult” or similarly marked. These spaces are for users who are at least 18 years old, have reached the age of legal majority where they live, have completed required staff review or provider assurance, have deliberately enabled mature content from this Terms page, and have accepted any additional area-specific rules. A preference switch by itself does not prove age.

Adult content must never be shared with minors or outside of properly marked sections.
Adult-tagged topics and spaces are hidden by default for every account.
Users ages 13–17 cannot enable mature content.
An eligible adult may turn the preference off at any time; doing so immediately removes adult-area access.
Sexually explicit content involving minors, or content that appears to involve minors, is strictly prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

Mature Content Preferences

Mature and NSFW content is off unless an eligible adult affirmatively enables it below while logged in. This Terms-page control is the only user-facing place to change the preference. If the account does not already have an approved adult-assurance result, choosing “Allow” opens a birth-date request for authorized staff review. The preference and a self-submitted date are not identity proof and cannot override server-side eligibility controls.

A birth date submitted for staff review is encrypted while pending, is available only to authorized reviewers, and is deleted after a decision or after 30 days. Do not send Zenkai an identity document, selfie, or birth certificate through messages or email.

Mature content is off.
Log in to view your eligibility and preference. Mature content is never enabled for a signed-out visitor.

Customizing Your Zenkai Experience

Zenkai Online offers different ways to browse content and connect with other Z’ers, such as timeline views, lists, or grid layouts. Depending on your account and device, you may be able to:

Adjust how posts, topics, or friends are displayed (default, list, grid).
Control who can contact you or view parts of your profile through privacy settings.
Hide certain topics or categories that you do not wish to see.

These options may evolve over time as Zenkai Online adds new UI features and layouts.

Code of Conduct & Community Guidelines

Communities work best when everyone cooperates. Abiding by the rules not only creates a safer environment, it creates a more enjoyable one. While using Zenkai Online, we ask you to treat others with the same respect you wish to receive.

Unless clearly marked as ADULT, all publicly visible content on Zenkai Online should be considered PG-13.

These guidelines apply to usernames, profiles, avatars, faction chats, private messages (where applicable), and all other areas where users may enter text or upload content. Access to Zenkai Online is a privilege, not a right.

General Guidelines

Do not bully, harass, or threaten others. Do not incite self-harm or violence.
Do not post the personal details or sensitive information of other people (“doxxing”).
Do not impersonate others in a misleading or deceptive manner.
Do not flood or spam forums, chat, or comments with repeated or low-value posts.
Do not send unsolicited adult or explicit messages to other users.

Prohibited Behavior (Account Action May Be Taken)

Based on the severity of an incident, an account may be suspended, locked, or permanently banned for behavior including, but not limited to:

Real-life threats, credible harm, or distribution of personal information.
Harassing, stalking, or defamatory behavior towards individuals or groups.
Disability & neurotype insults or slurs.
Racial, ethnic, national, or heritage-based hatred or slurs.
Sexual orientation & gender identity harassment or slurs.
Religion or non-religion hatred or targeted harassment.
Public blacklisting, call-out posts, or organized cyberbullying.
Posting, linking to, or distributing cheats, hacks, or malicious programs.

Adult Topic Areas

The following topics are only allowed inside threads, channels, or areas clearly marked as ADULT or equivalent, and never with minors:

Detailed or graphic violence & sexuality.
Obscene, vulgar, or explicit content intended for adults.
Discussion of drugs and paraphernalia in a mature context.

User Content & Ownership

You retain ownership of the original artwork, text, avatars, and other content you create and upload to Zenkai Online, subject to any separate licenses or agreements you have made with Zenkai Online or Zenkai Interactive Studios.

By posting or uploading content to the Service, you grant Zenkai Online a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the Service (for example, showing your avatar, artwork, posts, replies, ZTV VOD thumbnails, and similar content across the site).

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the content you upload.
You may not upload content that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, or other legal rights.
Zenkai Online may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Privacy & Data Use

Zenkai Online collects and uses information as part of operating the Service. More detailed information is available in the dedicated Privacy Policy.

Information We May Collect

IP address and related security signals (for security, moderation, fraud prevention, and network functionality).
Cookies (to remember your session and optional preferences).
Email address (for account creation, recovery, and notifications).
Date of birth submitted during registration or an eligibility review. A staff-review date is encrypted while pending and deleted after a decision or after 30 days.
Age-assurance records such as a 13+ eligibility result, age band, adult-access request and decision, authorized reviewer, method, timestamp, policy version, mature-content preference, and provider reference.
Reports, appeals, and other information you choose to provide to Support or Safety.

Age-Assurance Providers

Zenkai may use a third-party provider, such as Persona, to perform an age or identity check. The provider may process identity-document, selfie, biometric, device, and fraud-prevention information under its own privacy notice. Zenkai is designed to receive the provider’s decision and reference rather than copies of identity documents or selfies. The exact data used depends on the verification method and your location.

How We Use This Information

We use this information to create and administer 13+ accounts, keep mature content unavailable to minors, establish adult eligibility when requested, apply the mature-content preference, provide requested features, support users, enforce policies, investigate reports, meet legal obligations, and maintain security and fraud prevention. Zenkai Online does not sell, trade, or share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties for marketing purposes.

Who Can Access Your Information

Access to personal information is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who need it for the purposes described above. Account passwords are stored as one-way hashes rather than readable text. Zenkai Online may disclose personal information:

To vendors that process data for Zenkai under appropriate contractual restrictions.
When reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, valid legal process, or lawful governmental requests.
When reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, Zenkai, or the integrity of the Service.

The Privacy Policy provides additional details about retention, choices, and contact methods. An age-assurance result does not prevent Zenkai from retaining records that are reasonably needed for security, legal compliance, disputes, or enforcement.

Prohibited Content (Legal Compliance)

You may not use Zenkai Online to post, upload, or distribute any content that violates the laws of the United States of America or applicable international law. This includes, but is not limited to:

Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation or sexualization of minors, or attempts to groom minors, including synthetic or AI-generated depictions.
Non-consensual intimate imagery or intimate visual depictions, including altered, synthetic, or AI-generated depictions presented as an identifiable person.
Sexually explicit content involving minors, content that appears to involve minors, or sexual roleplay involving a minor persona.
Content that directly encourages, incites, or celebrates real-world violence or harm.
Content that promotes terrorism, human trafficking, or other serious criminal activity.

Violations of these rules may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to appropriate legal authorities.

To report child-safety content or a non-consensual intimate depiction, use the Safety & Abuse Report. Do not upload or resend illegal or intimate material to Zenkai; provide the location of the content and the requested identifying information. Zenkai may preserve and report apparent child sexual abuse material as required by law.

Accounts, Enforcement & Termination

Zenkai Online reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, restrict, or terminate any account that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or other site policies.

Moderation decisions may be based on behavior across the Service, including alt accounts.
Actions can range from warnings and temporary mutes to permanent bans and IP restrictions.
Moderation exists to protect the safety and enjoyment of the community as a whole.
An incomplete general 13+ check may result in an account eligibility hold. A failed optional adult-content check leaves mature content off but does not by itself remove ordinary 13+ access.
False birth-date information, use of another person’s verification materials, or attempts to bypass age assurance may result in restriction or termination.

If you believe an action was taken in error, you may contact Support through the Help Center or designated appeal channels, if available.

Site Maintenance, Availability & Changes

Zenkai Online may occasionally be offline for maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime or that the Service will always be available.

Account data, items, stats, or site features may be adjusted over time to correct glitches or implement updates.
Account names that have not been logged into for multiple years may be released or renamed.
Features such as games, events, avatar systems, or integrations (including ZTV and Zenkai World) may change, be renamed, or be retired over time.

Zenkai Online may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, Zenkai may provide additional notice and require affirmative re-acceptance before you can continue using account features. Other changes become effective when posted unless a later date is stated.

Always use caution when sharing information online. Never share passwords, financial data, or highly personal information with other users. Zenkai staff will never ask you for your password.
