Zenkai Online was founded on August 12, 2012, by a group of anime, gaming, and hobby enthusiasts: @Kokiri, @lillybug, and @zombieNAMI. Long before Zenkai, our founders and many of their friends connected through popular platforms like TinyChat, Meebo, Skype, Gaia Online, Neopets, and IMVU. The vision was simple: create a space where they, along with like-minded people, could be themselves, bond over shared interests, and build lasting friendships.
Inspired by other avatar-based communities, social networks, and virtual worlds, Zenkai Online has always been about more than just a website—it's a community built for and by its members. Though we faced challenges, including losing half of our stats during a host migration, we've continued to grow and adapt.
Now flying independently as part of Zenkai Interactive Studios, LLC, we’re not just stopping at Zenkai. We have ambitious plans for the future and are just getting started. Join us as we continue to evolve, bringing together a world of creativity, passion, and connection.
