V Rising is an online, open-world Vampire survival game developed by Stunlock Studios. Playing as a vampire, rise from the ashes as you hunt for blood from unsuspecting settlements scattered across the mysterious land of Vardoran. Construct castles, research new technology, evade the scorching sun, and team up with allies as you attempt to regain power and conquer the land of the living.

V Rising is an open-world survival game where you play as a powerful vampire, exploring a dark fantasy world filled with enemies, crafting, and building your castle. Your goal is to restore your strength and become the ultimate vampire lord!

Getting Started 🏰

Choose Your Class: Start by customizing your vampire character. Pick from various classes that determine your initial abilities and playstyle.
Appearance: Customize your vampire’s appearance to stand out in the world of V Rising!

At launch, V Rising will feature four official game modes that you can choose from, so whether you’re looking to compete or cooperate, the choice will be yours as you explore the vast open world teeming with mythical beings and danger around every corner.

Here’s the official breakdown of all four game modes that will be available at launch:

PvE (Player verse Environment)
- In these honorable realms, vampires fight alongside one another as they reclaim Vardoran. Rise on your own or join a clan with up to four vampires as you conquer the world together.
PvP (Player verse Player)
- In these war-torn realms, vampires compete for supremacy as they reclaim Vardoran. At certain time frames, vampires may siege each other’s castles and raid them for goods. Gather allies in the game of blood and power by joining a clan with up to four vampires as you expand your domain.
Full Loot PvP
- In these chaotic realms, vampires compete for supremacy as they reclaim Vardoran. Risk it all in every encounter as you drop all loot upon death. At certain time frames, vampires may siege each other’s castles for goods, conquer them, or even destroy them completely. Improve your chances of survival by joining a clan with up to four vampires.
Duo PvP
- In these war-torn realms, vampires compete for supremacy as they reclaim Vardoran. At certain time frames, vampires may siege each other’s Castles and raid them for goods. Rise on your own or make a blood pact with another vampire to conquer the world together.

🦇🩸🧛🏻 Complete Journal Quests to Unlock Key Mechanics and Features 🦇🩸🧛🏻

Throughout your journey in V Rising, you’ll be tasked with completing a series of Journal Quests that appear in the top left corner of the game. While they may appear optional, these Quests essentially act as a very lengthy tutorial process that will guide you throughout most of the game, teaching you new mechanics as they are unlocked. Unfortunately, V Rising doesn’t necessarily explain this very well, so if you’re struggling to understand the purpose of a particular structure or mechanic, chances are you haven’t quite reached the quest that will explain it further.

Whether you’re chasing tips for exploring the vast open world of Vardoran, using console commands to receive unlimited resources, or using unique Vampire Powers to increase your resistance to dangerous elements, here are over 30 essential tips and tricks that can make your time in V Rising just that much easier.

Essential Tips and Tricks for Getting Started in V Rising

Don’t sleep on Journal Quests, as their completion is essential to unlocking vital mechanics and features such as castles, abilities, and key building structures that you’ll need to progress in V Rising.
The Castle Heart is the most important structure in your domain and is responsible for keeping your production machinery working and protecting your hard-earned loot from rival vampire clans and other players. As long as you keep your Castle Heart supplied with blood essence, it will continue to power your castle and keep it from decaying.

However, should your Castle Heart run out of blood essence, it will begin to decay and become vulnerable to being destroyed and looted by other players, potentially leaving you nothing to come back to. It is also important to remember that destroying your Castle Heart will cause your entire castle to crumble to the ground.
Want to build an even bigger castle or expand your list of loyal servants? Upgrade your Castle Heart to increase both your castle and servant capacity. The initial upgrade will set you back 12 Copper Ingots and 12 Leather.

During the early game, you’ll require the likes of Leather and Whetstones in order to craft core Refinement structures such as the Grinder, as well as Paper and Books, which can be used on the Research Desk to discover new technology. You’ll find that these items can initially be obtained when killing humanoids and raiding various settlements, bandit camps, and strongholds across Vardoran. Just note, you’ll eventually unlock structures such as the Paper Press much later in the game, which will allow you to craft paper, an item that is typically hard to find in bulk.
Environment objects such as crates and barrels can be found when raiding settlements such as Bandit Camps and Farms. When destroying these items, there’s a chance you’ll earn planks and other resources such as Copper Ore, Clay, Research Books, Stone Dust, and even more.
